Job Description

As a School-Based Therapist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play an integral role in providing therapeutic services to school-aged children in Charlotte, NC, US. Your expertise in counseling and therapeutic interventions will contribute to the overall development and well-being of the students you serve. You will have the opportunity to work closely with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate and assess the students' emotional and behavioral needs through thorough assessments and interviews.
  2. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
  3. Provide counseling and therapy services to students, incorporating evidence-based interventions and strategies.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's care.
  5. Monitor and track progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  6. Advocate for the students' needs within the school system and community.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided.
  8. Attend regular team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  9. Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all aspects of your work.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensed as a Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Prior experience in providing therapy to school-aged children.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
