  • Providing medication reminders and assisting with medication administration
  • Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' vital signs
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and socialization
  • Ensuring a clean and safe living environment
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Offering emotional support and companionship to residents

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in the role of a Direct Support Professional Caregiver, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar caregiving role
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with elderly individuals
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with composure
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
