About the Certified Nursing Assistant Role

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will work under the supervision of licensed nurses and assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring vital signs, assisting with medication administration, and providing emotional support to residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any abnormal findings to the nursing team.
  • Administer medications as directed by the healthcare team.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by following infection control procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be eligible for this CNA position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Valid Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Texas.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong empathy and compassion for seniors.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
