As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to the organization's management team regarding employment-related matters
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Review and draft employment contracts, policies, and procedures
• Manage employment-related disputes, investigations, and litigation
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on changes in employment law
• Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices
• Ensure legal compliance throughout the recruitment and hiring process
• Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on employment-related legal matters
• Participate in negotiations and settlements related to employment disputes

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an employment attorney
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care industry is a plus
