About the Job

As a licensed behavior consultant at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents by assessing, designing, and implementing behavior support strategies. Your expertise in behavioral analysis and intervention will help us create a safe and nurturing environment for our residents with cognitive and behavioral challenges.

Your Responsibilities

As a licensed behavior consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral challenges and potential triggers
  • Developing individualized behavior support plans tailored to the unique needs of each resident
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement and monitor the effectiveness of behavior support plans
  • Providing staff training and guidance on evidence-based behavioral strategies
  • Documenting and regularly reviewing resident progress and making adjustments to the behavior support plan as needed
  • Advocating for the well-being of our residents and maintaining ethical standards
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in behavioral analysis and intervention

Qualifications

To be considered for the licensed behavior consultant position, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold a valid license as a behavior consultant in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Have a solid understanding of behavioral analysis principles and intervention strategies
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
  • Be able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Prior experience in a geriatric or long-term care setting is highly desirable
