As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to our residents with their daily activities while promoting their independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and document accordingly.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for the residents.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.

Requirements

  • Prior experience or certification in direct support provision or caregiving is preferred.
  • An empathetic and compassionate approach towards the elderly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Compliance with all health and safety regulations.
