Kimwell Nursing Home is currently seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator for our facility located in Millstone, NJ, US. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in providing exceptional care for our geriatric and aging residents. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement engaging programs and activities to enhance their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Planning: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules tailored to meet the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the nursing and therapy teams to ensure seamless coordination of programs and therapies for residents.
  • Implementation: Lead and facilitate various recreational, educational, and social activities, both on-site and off-site.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and individualized care plans.
  • Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Interact with residents, families, and staff to ensure their involvement and satisfaction with the programs.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role within the geriatric or healthcare setting.
  • Passion: Genuine passion for providing quality care and improving the lives of older adults.
  • Creativity: Ability to develop innovative and engaging programs to cater to diverse resident needs.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
