Job Responsibilities

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Kimwell Nursing Home, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting functional assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors
  • Designing and implementing behavior support plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each resident
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions
  • Providing training and support to staff members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support strategies
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of behavior observations and interventions
  • Participating in care plan meetings and providing input on the resident's overall treatment goals

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Board Certification: You must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) with a valid license.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Behavior Analyst in a healthcare or senior care setting.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of behavior analysis principles, functional assessment procedures, and evidence-based behavior interventions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
  • Empathy: A genuine passion for working with older adults and individuals with cognitive impairments.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and data analysis.
