About the Licensed Vocational Nurse Position
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will be responsible for providing direct care to our residents under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess residents' health conditions
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
- Document residents' progress and maintain accurate records
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Texas
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of geriatric care principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
