Responsibilities and Duties

As a Handyman at Kimwell Nursing Home, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining and repairing various aspects of the facility, such as plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
  2. Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of equipment
  3. Assisting with the installation of new fixtures and equipment as needed
  4. Responding promptly to maintenance requests and resolving issues efficiently
  5. Collaborating with other departments to address facility-related concerns
  6. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining accurate documentation
  7. Providing excellent customer service to residents and staff

Qualifications and Skills

In order to be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Previous experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
  • Proficient knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to handle emergency repairs and maintenance
