Kimwell Nursing Home is currently seeking a qualified Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify residents' needs and develop personalized care plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address residents' mental health concerns
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Offer crisis intervention and support to residents experiencing emotional distress
  • Educate residents, family members, and staff on mental health issues and coping strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Mental Health Clinician in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience providing mental health services to geriatric populations
  • Strong understanding of psychiatric diagnoses and evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of seniors with mental health challenges
