Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents' daily living activities. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Administering medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques
  • Maintaining accurate records of resident care and observations
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Certified Nursing Assistant position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Missouri
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Compassion and empathy towards older adults
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
