Caregiver for Adult Day Program - Your Responsibilities

As a Caregiver, your role will be crucial in providing personalized care and assistance to seniors who participate in our Adult Day Program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting participants with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs, medication administration, and any changes in health conditions
  • Engaging participants in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote cognitive stimulation
  • Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding support, ensuring dietary needs are met
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, families, and the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the position of Caregiver for our Adult Day Program, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Caregiver, preferably in senior care or related healthcare settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with seniors, their families, and the team
  • Empathy, compassion, and patience in providing care and assistance to individuals with varying needs
  • Knowledge of aging-related conditions and disabilities, with the ability to adapt care plans accordingly
  • Flexibility to work during daytime hours, including weekends and holidays, as per program needs
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid, or willingness to obtain certification before joining
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, transfer, and assist participants with mobility needs
