Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitoring and documenting resident's vital signs
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments
  • Assisting with meals and ensuring dietary requirements are met
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans

Requirements

To qualify for the position of Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
  2. Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide
  3. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
