The Role of a Licensed Vocational Nurse

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs
  • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Performing routine medical procedures
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and ensuring their overall well-being. Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Licensed Vocational Nurse, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California
  • Previous experience in a geriatric or long-term care setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
