About the Position

As a Program Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating a wide range of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for our residents. Your primary goal will be to create an inclusive and stimulating environment that promotes physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive activities program for residents, tailored to their individual preferences and abilities
  • Coordinate and schedule a variety of activities, including outings, arts and crafts, games, and exercise programs
  • Collaborate with our dedicated care team to ensure that each resident's care plan is aligned with their recreational and social needs
  • Document and track resident participation and progress
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to activities programming

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living facility
  • Passionate about working with seniors and improving their quality of life
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Knowledge of person-centered care principles
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
  • Certification in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field is a plus
