Your Role as a Speech Language Pathologist

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in helping our residents improve their communication and swallowing skills. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant impact on their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate staff, residents, and families on speech and swallowing strategies
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Requirements

  • Valid speech-language pathology license in California
  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working with geriatric populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of seniors
