About the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Position

As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in assisting our residents with their occupational therapy treatments and rehabilitation programs. Working closely with our Occupational Therapists, you will help improve the functional abilities and independence of our residents.

You will be responsible for implementing therapeutic activities, providing hands-on care, and documenting resident progress. Furthermore, you will contribute to developing individualized treatment plans that are tailored to our residents' specific needs and goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in conducting evaluations to determine residents' therapy needs
  • Implementing therapeutic exercises and activities based on treatment plans
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' progress throughout their therapy sessions
  • Providing support and encouragement to residents during therapy sessions
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in occupational therapy

Qualifications and Requirements
