Job Description

As a Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their daily activities and routines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
  • Administering medications as per the prescribed schedule
  • Monitoring residents' health and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and social interactions
  • Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans

Requirements

We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
