The Role of a Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in assisting residents with their daily activities and overall well-being. Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing compassionate and person-centered care
  • Assisting with personal hygiene and grooming
  • Administering medications and monitoring health conditions
  • Supporting residents in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
  • Engaging residents in recreational and social activities
  • Documenting and reporting any observed changes in behavior or health
  • Collaborating with medical professionals and interdisciplinary teams
