Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers
  • Administer medications, following appropriate guidelines and protocols
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation
  • Engage residents in social and recreational activities
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in direct support or a related field is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
  • Understanding of person-centered care and individualized support
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
