Kimwell Nursing Home is currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Lawrence, MA. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling sessions to residents suffering from mental health disorders.
  • Assess and evaluate residents' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions to facilitate emotional healing and support.
  • Monitor and document residents' progress, keeping accurate records.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on mental health issues and coping strategies.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Counseling or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor.
  • Prior experience in Geriatric and Aging Care is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of various mental health disorders and their treatment methods.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
