Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual assessments to determine the mental health needs of residents
  • Develop personalized treatment plans to address specific concerns and goals
  • Provide counseling and therapy sessions to individuals, utilizing evidence-based techniques
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct group therapy sessions to promote social interaction and emotional support
  • Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
  • Offer support and guidance to families and loved ones of residents
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all therapy sessions
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Licensed Mental Health Therapist position, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of South Carolina
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Demonstrate expertise in geriatric mental health care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
