About the Position

As a Family Therapist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting our residents and their families. You will work closely with individuals and their loved ones to address emotional, psychological, and relational issues that may arise in the context of aging and long-term care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify family dynamics and potential areas of support.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident and their family.
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to promote emotional well-being and enhance family relationships.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Licensure as a Family Therapist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or counseling setting, preferably with older adults.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of geriatric mental health and aging-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
