We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team in Des Moines, IA, US. Responsibilities

As a Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in organizing and implementing various programs and activities for our residents. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and coordinating a wide range of recreational, social, and educational activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
  • Creating monthly activity calendars and ensuring their timely distribution to residents and staff.
  • Collaborating with the nursing and therapy teams to incorporate therapeutic interventions into the activity programs.
  • Assessing residents' interests, preferences, and abilities to tailor activities that promote engagement and enhance their quality of life.
  • Organizing special events, outings, and entertainment programs to provide residents with meaningful experiences and opportunities for socialization.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of resident participation, progress, and outcomes.
  • Supervising and training activity assistants and volunteers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards regarding resident activities.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience in coordinating and facilitating activities, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
  • A deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of older adults.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with residents, families, and staff effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
