Job Description: Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist

As a Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess functional abilities and limitations
  • Developing individualized treatment plans to maximize residents' independence and quality of life
  • Providing hands-on therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises and activities
  • Educating residents, their families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's degree preferred)
  • Prior experience in a geriatric or long-term care setting is highly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
