Role and Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in enhancing the mobility, function, and overall well-being of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating residents' physical abilities and developing personalized treatment plans
  • Implementing therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and balance
  • Assisting residents with the use of assistive devices, such as walkers or wheelchairs
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents
  • Providing education and guidance to residents and their families on injury prevention and healthy lifestyles

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Michigan
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric physical therapy
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and treatment techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Passionate about improving the lives of older adults
