The Role of a Mental Health Counselor

As a Mental Health Counselor at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the mental well-being of our residents. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions. Your expertise in providing counseling, guidance, and emotional support will help residents navigate challenges, manage stress, and promote positive coping mechanisms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for residents

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Dakota
  • Proven experience in providing mental health counseling
  • Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
