Kimwell Nursing Home is currently seeking a dedicated Residential Youth Support Specialist to join our team in Millstone, NJ. As a Residential Youth Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing care, support, and guidance to at-risk youth in a nurturing residential environment.

Responsibilities

As a Residential Youth Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and monitoring the daily activities of youth residents
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to help youth overcome challenges
  • Implementing and maintaining individualized treatment plans
  • Assisting with educational activities and supporting academic progress
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create a therapeutic environment
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents
  • Modeling positive behaviors and promoting healthy lifestyle choices
  • Engaging youth in recreational and therapeutic activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a residential setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
