Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and assisting our nursing staff. Your responsibilities may include:

1. Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

You will help patients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Your compassionate support will ensure their personal care needs are met with dignity and respect.

2. Monitoring Patient Health

Observing and documenting patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall physical and mental well-being. You will report any concerns to the nursing staff, enabling them to provide timely and appropriate medical interventions.

3. Providing Emotional Support

As a CNA, you will develop meaningful relationships with patients and their families, offering emotional support and companionship. Your presence and empathy will contribute to their overall well-being during their stay at our facility.

4. Assisting with Rehabilitative Care

Under the supervision of our skilled therapists, you will assist patients with rehabilitation exercises and therapies. Your encouragement and guidance will help them regain strength and independence.

Qualifications

  • Active CNA certification
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
