Role and Responsibilities

As a Life Skills Trainer at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in assisting our residents with their day-to-day activities and helping them maintain their independence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Supporting residents in managing their medication schedules and ensuring they take their prescribed medications.
  • Creating and implementing engaging activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Assisting with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Monitoring and documenting resident's progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Prior experience in a similar role or a genuine passion for working with seniors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient nature.
