Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a wide range of recreational programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
  • Create stimulating and engaging activities that promote physical, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Assess and document residents' progress and participation in recreational activities.
  • Organize events, outings, and special programs to enhance residents' overall experience.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents during recreational activities.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Recreational Therapist.
  • Prior experience working with aging or geriatric populations is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A passion for improving the lives of seniors through recreational therapy.
