The Role of a Physical Therapist Assistant

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will work closely with our licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and assist in the rehabilitation process for our senior residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing residents' physical condition and creating personalized care plans.
  • Assisting residents with therapeutic exercises and activities.
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Providing support and motivation to residents throughout their therapy.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  1. Valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas.
  2. Previous experience working with geriatric and aging populations.
  3. Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and exercises.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Passion for improving the quality of life for senior residents.
