The Role: Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day assistance and support to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administering medications and monitoring vital signs
  • Assisting with meals, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
  • Engaging residents in recreational and social activities
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Documenting resident care and reporting any changes in condition to the nursing team

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our residents. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be patient and understanding, and have a genuine passion for caring for the elderly.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for the Direct Support Professional position at Kimwell Nursing Home, the following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
