Job Description

As a Residential Youth Support Specialist at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of our young residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to youth in a residential care setting
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, hygiene, and recreational activities
  • Implementing and maintaining individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address the needs of each resident
  • Documenting observations, progress, and incidents
  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents

Requirements

To qualify for the position of Residential Youth Support Specialist, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with youth in a residential care or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral management techniques
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
