About the Position

As a Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in assisting our residents with their daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assisting with mobility and physical therapy exercises
  • Administering medications and monitoring health conditions
  • Engaging residents in social and recreational activities
  • Documenting and reporting any changes in residents' health or behavior

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we require the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Prior experience in a similar caregiving role
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)
