Job Responsibilities

As a Caregiver at Kimwell Nursing Home, your primary responsibility will be to assist our residents with their daily activities and provide them with the care and support they need. Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
  • Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the provision of high-quality care

Qualifications

To qualify for the Caregiver position at Sevita, we require:

  • Prior experience in caregiving or a related field
  • Compassion and empathy towards the elderly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of safety and infection control procedures
