Your Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, your primary responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting with Daily Activities: Help residents with their daily activities such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and eating. Provide support in mobility and ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
  2. Medication Management: Administer and track medications as per the residents' care plans, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining accurate records.
  3. Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a nurturing and caring environment.
  4. Communication and Documentation: Maintain clear and concise communication with the interdisciplinary care team, documenting residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
  5. Assist in Recreational Activities: Engage residents in various recreational and therapeutic activities, promoting social interaction and overall well-being.
  6. Ensure Safety and Security: Take necessary precautions to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, following all safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

For the Direct Support Professional position, we require the following qualifications:
