As a Direct Care Professional at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your commitment to excellence and passion for helping others will contribute to the exceptional care we provide.

Your Responsibilities as a Direct Care Professional

1. Providing personalized care: You will assist residents with their daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Your compassionate and patient approach will ensure their comfort and well-being throughout their daily routines.

2. Monitoring health and medication: You will be responsible for observing and documenting any changes in residents' health conditions, as well as administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Your attention to detail and ability to follow protocols will contribute to the safety and well-being of our residents.

3. Building meaningful relationships: You will have the opportunity to develop deep connections with our residents, listening to their stories and providing emotional support. Your friendly and empathetic nature will create a caring and nurturing environment.

4. Assisting with recreational activities: You will actively engage residents in various recreational activities, promoting socialization and mental stimulation. Your creativity and enthusiasm will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere in our facility.

Requirements for the Position

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Passion for providing care to elderly individuals
  • Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR (desired)
