About the Direct Support Life Skills Trainer Role

The Direct Support Life Skills Trainer position at Kimwell Nursing Home is a rewarding and fulfilling job opportunity within the Health - Geriatric and Aging Care field. As a Life Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting individuals with various activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and socialization.

This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is dedicated to helping others improve their overall quality of life. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and provide them with the support they need to live their lives to the fullest.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure individuals follow their medication schedules.
  • Help with meal planning, preparation, and supervision.
  • Engage residents in social and recreational activities.
  • Monitor and document individuals' progress and report any changes or concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.

Qualifications
