Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in assisting seniors with behavior management and providing support to enhance their overall well-being. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Implementing behavior programs designed by the supervising Behavior Analyst
  • Assisting with behavior assessments and data collection
  • Developing and implementing appropriate intervention strategies
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team for effective care planning
  • Providing support and guidance to seniors in managing challenging behaviors
  • Documenting observations and progress notes
  • Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

To be considered for the Behavior Technician position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with behavioral difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Patience, compassion, and empathy towards seniors
  • Valid certification or willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., Registered Behavior Technician)
