Responsibilities of a Caregiver

As a Caregiver at Kimwell Nursing Home, you will play a crucial role in assisting our residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Administering medications as prescribed
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs
  • Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Ensuring a clean and organized living environment
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, we expect you to meet the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
