About the Job

As a Job Coach at Kimwell Nursing Home, your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and support to residents who are seeking employment opportunities. You will work closely with individuals to assess their skills, interests, and goals, and develop customized employment plans. You will assist with job searches, resume writing, interview preparation, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful employment outcomes. In this role, you will have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of our residents by helping them achieve financial independence and a sense of purpose.

Responsibilities

- Conduct assessments to identify residents' skills, interests, and employment goals - Develop individualized employment plans for each resident - Assist residents with job searches, including identifying suitable job opportunities and completing applications - Provide guidance and support in resume writing and interview preparation - Facilitate job training and on-the-job coaching for residents in various industries - Collaborate with employers and community organizations to create job opportunities for residents - Monitor and evaluate residents' progress and provide ongoing support as needed - Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident interactions and employment outcomes

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as psychology or social work) - Previous experience in job coaching or a similar role - Strong understanding of the job market and various industries - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities - Knowledge of community resources and support services - Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to coaching - Strong organizational and time management skills
