Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring resident safety at all times
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
  • Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations and facility policies

Requirements

  1. Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional Caregiver preferred
  2. Certification in CPR and First Aid
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  5. Strong attention to detail
  6. Compassionate and empathetic nature
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  10. Passionate about providing high-quality care to elderly residents
